Is this app for beginners or advanced lifters?
Both. Onboarding asks for your training age and weekly availability, then filters every program and macro default to match. A first-week lifter sees a 3-day full-body program; a 10-year lifter sees periodized hypertrophy and powerlifting blocks.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
No. Forgd reads from your iPhone's built-in motion data and any Health-connected device. An Apple Watch sharpens HRV and heart-rate signals, but the app works fully without one.
Will it work without a gym?
Yes. In onboarding you pick your equipment access (full gym, home barbell, kettlebell only, bodyweight). The library filters to programs you can actually run with what you have.
What kinds of programs are included?
Eleven training modalities ship with the app: Strength, Hypertrophy, Cardio, HIIT, Mobility, Sport-Specific (Ski Prep, Surf Conditioning, Climbing Power), Pilates, Martial Arts, Skill, Recovery, and Longevity. Each modality has multiple programs you can join, filtered to your equipment and weekly availability.
Where is my data stored?
On your device, and in your personal iCloud account if you have iCloud sync on. Forgd has no servers that hold your data. Apple's CloudKit handles encryption end to end.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. From the iPhone Settings app, your Apple ID, then Subscriptions. Or from the in-app Subscription screen. No retention emails, no friction.
What happens after the free trial?
You get a reminder 24 hours before the trial ends. If you do nothing, your selected plan starts. If you cancel, the app drops to a read-only mode where your data stays put and you can resume any time.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Forgd is built around Apple HealthKit, CloudKit, and StoreKit, which made it possible to ship a complete product fast. Android is on the roadmap once iOS proves the demand.
